2019 InnovateHS Conference at the University of Montana

  • Juniors in the IB History of the Americas class will attend the InnovateHS event on Friday October 11th. Students will spend the day immersed in presentations and discussions surrounding innovation, imagination and problem solving. Throughout the day-long event, innovation will be discussed as the way in which to apply skills with creativity, collaboration, and analysis to develop novel solutions to complex problems.
  • Events include inspirational speakers, active learning, peer engagement and small group presentations by UM faculty. The students will be active participants throughout the day, considering how innovation applies to their lives and to the issues that most concern them.

PSAT

  • The PSAT will take place in the auxilliary gym on Wednesday October 16th from 7:50am until 12pm. There will be a pizza lunch provided for students in attendance.

Project Bridge

  • The Mansfield Center is seeking juniors in search of multicultural leadership and networking experiences to apply for Project Bridge, a yearlong educational enrichment experience, featuring a fully-funded 12-day trip to Korea! For more information visit umt.edu/mansfield. Application closes October 25th.

Post Secondary Month

  • Every November the Big Sky Counseling Department hosts events to help students learn more about various post secondary options. This year we will have a keynote speaker to kick of the month. Throughout the month grade level counselors will give class presentations on career and college options in Science and History classes. On November 20th there will be a Life after Graduation Fair including local businesses, apprenticeships, and colleges for students to speak with.
