Teacher Profile

  • Hello! My name is Mr. Composto. I am excited to be teaching for a fifth year at Big Sky High School this school year. I am originally from Chicago and I went to college at Columbia University in New York City where I graduated with a degree in history. Despite having lived almost all my life in large cities, I had always been interested in moving to a small community closer to the mountains. In 2016, I moved to Missoula after deciding to serve one year as an Americorps VISTA  at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula, where I worked to develop education programs. After that experience, I decided to pursue a career in education, so I entered the University of Montana, where I earned a Masters degree in Education.

I look forward to teaching both IB Psychology and World History this school year and I am happy to be a part of the Big Sky community. When I am not working I enjoy trail running, downhill skiing, and camping.

If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am happy to talk to parents or students at whatever time works best for you. Just reach out and I will respond by email or phone as soon as I can.

    My email is ncomposto@mcpsmt.org
