I am very excited to begin my second career teaching IB 20th Century World History and IB Psychology at Big Sky High School. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in political science and journalism and then earned my law degree from Washington and Lee Law School. I worked on Capitol Hill and practiced law in Washington, D.C. before moving to New York. I moved to Missoula in 2015 and earned my master’s degree in Education at the University of Montana.
I have two wonderful children, my son is a senior at Williams College and my daughter is a freshman at Whitman College. They have taught me more about teaching high schoolers than any college course! When I’m not following current events, I enjoy hiking with my dog Frances, watching mysteries with my cat Beatrix, paddleboarding, and traveling. After living, studying and working in six states, I feel so fortunate to call Missoula and Big Sky High School my home!
I will be working at Big Sky High School on Gold Days only, but I am happy to talk with students and parents at any time. Please contact me via email, and I will make every effort to respond by email or phone within 48 hours.
