I am very excited to begin my second career teaching social studies at Big Sky High School. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in political science and journalism and then earned my law degree from Washington and Lee Law School. I worked on Capitol Hill and practiced law in Washington, D.C. before moving to New York. I moved to Missoula in 2015 and earned my master’s degree in education at the University of Montana.
I have two wonderful children. My son recently graduated from Williams College and lives in Boston, Massachusetts. My daughter is a senior at St. Andrews College in Scotland, UK. They have taught me more about teaching high schoolers than any college course!
When I’m not following current events, I enjoy hiking with my dog Josephine, training my horse Wonder, watching mysteries with my cat Beatrix, paddleboarding, and traveling. After living, studying and working in six states, I feel fortunate to call Missoula and Big Sky High School my home!
