I am very excited to be teaching social studies at Big Sky High School!  I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in political science and journalism and then earned my law degree from Washington and Lee Law School in Virginia.  I worked on Capitol Hill and practiced law in Washington, D.C. before moving to New York. I moved to Missoula in 2015 and decided to pursue a second career in teaching. I earned my master’s degree in education at the University of Montana and began teaching at Big Sky in 2019.

I have two wonderful children who share my love of learning. My son is starting a masters program in public affairs at Princeton College and my daughter is starting a masters program in global constitutionalism and legal history at St. Andrews College in Scotland, UK. They have taught me more about teaching high schoolers than any college course!

When I’m not following current events, I enjoy hiking with my dog Josephine, training my horse Wonder, watching mysteries with my cat Beatrix,  paddleboarding, and traveling. After living, studying and working in six states, I feel fortunate to call Missoula and Big Sky High School my home!
