Hello! My name is Katie. This will be my ninth year at Big Sky and I am looking forward to getting started! I recently finished a Masters in Spanish Language Teaching from Southern Oregon University and I also have Bachelors Degrees in both Spanish and Creative Writing. Between taking classes and teaching classes, I have spent time in Argentina, Mexico and Spain. My passion for Spanish grew from an early travel experience to Mexico. Since then, my academic interests grew to include Spanish-language literature and the history of social justice movements in Latin America. In Argentina, I spent my time learning about Argentine Populism and the contemporary history of worker cooperatives following the 2001 economic depression in the country. I teach all levels of Spanish depending on the year, and I love teaching every level, from beginner to advanced!
