Hello and welcome to the Ag Center!  I was born and raised in Missoula and graduated from Big Sky High School in 1985. I was part of the FFA and Ag program for four years but it wasn't until much later in life that I realized the positive impact this program had on me.   I taught science for 17 years in eastern Montana but when the Ag position opened in 2008 I jumped at the chance to teach here because I wanted to be part of this amazing program again.  The Ag Center is where science comes to life!  In 2003 I was awarded the National Teacher of Excellence Award by the Milken Foundation because of the high test scores that my science students achieved.  In 2016 I was honored to become the NAAE National Agriculture Teacher of the year.  Science and agriculture are very important to me and I strive to infuse advanced science practices into the Ag curriculum wherever I can.   I have a wife and four grown kids.
