We are going to have some fun!

  • Math IA's Due Friday, February 7th, 2020

Posted by Abby Green on 2/5/2020

Remember that the FINAL DRAFT of your Math IA is due Friday, February 7th, 2020 by 3:00pm.

You can submit your IA in two different ways:

    1.  Give me a hardcopy printed out

    2. Save your google doc as a .pdf file and email it to me

For your reference, I have included the rubric below.

    IB Math Studies IA Rubric

It would be a great idea to have someone peer edit your paper before you turn it in.

See Mrs. Green if you have any questions.

I was born and raised in Missoula, MT.  I attended Franklin Elementary, CS Porter Middle School and Big Sky High School.  When I graduated, I traveled down to Phoenix, Arizona and got my Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering.  After working as an Engineer, I decided it wasn't the right job for me.  I loved coaching and teaching so I decided to go back to school and become a teacher.  I earned my Masters Degree in Teaching from Whitworth College and taught in the state of Washington for a few years before I finally was able to move back to Montana and become a teacher at the school I grew up with and love. In the past, I've been one of the math teachers in the 9th grade Health Science Academy.  Currently I teach IB Math Studies (both levels), I'm one of the co-department chairs for the math department and I work on Senior Projects.  I really enjoy everything that I do at Big Sky but I really love teaching math and want to pass on that love and excitement to my students.
