NCAA Eligibility

NCAA Eligibility
Students who wish to participate in sports at the college level (Division I & II) must meet the NCAA course, test score, and grade point average requirements. Please read “Know the Rules” and review the list of courses that are approved. Digital Academy and credit recovery courses are not acceptable.
Students should meet early with their counselor about course planning. Approved subjects are listed on the NCAA link. Our high school code is 270617. Please check the NCAA High School Portal of Big Sky High School approved courses.
Students must also register with the NCAA Eligibility Center during their senior year. If you qualify you may be eligible for a fee waiver. See your counselor for more information.

NAIA Eligibility
A similar process of having to be deemed eligible is necessary to participate in college athletics governed by the NAIA. Most students wait until they have been recruited by a NAIA school to start the process. Find out more information about how to plan to meet eligibility criteria and participating programs at the NAIA Eligibility Center Website.
