This is my second year teaching at Big Sky and I'm excited to work with you all!
As a Montana local, Missoula is the town I've called home for over 20 years. After high school here in town I ventured over to Bozeman where I completed my Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Development with a speciality in exercise science and a minor in cell biology and neuroscience. After graduation I spent a gap year here in Missoula where I discovered my passion for working with students at the high school level. Through the University of Montana I was able to join my passions for science and working with students and bring them together. I recieved Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and my licensure in Broadfield Science Teaching as well as CTE. This year I will be working with primarily freshman in Principles of Biomedical Science within our Biomed tract of the Health Science Academy. Aside from this, I will be teaching one period of Integrated Science 1. It is my hope and goal to help my students find a passion in one of the many fields of Science and help them grow as individuals.
Outside of the classroom you can often find me running with my dog Nala (picture in the photo) on the trails around Missoula, looking for any opportunity to find water in the form of a local river or nearby lake, or following one of my many sports teams. On top of teaching I will be coaching Boys JV Basketball and helping advise or Student Government here at Big Sky and can't wait to help these programs for years to come.
