    Hello, I am Mr. Parsons.

I am originally from Great Falls, MT. I graduated from Great Falls High School and then received a BS in Applied Mathematics from UGF. After working as an Assistant Transitional Coordinator for East Middle School and instructing Introductory Algebra and Technical Mathematics at the Great Falls College of Technology, I earned a MEd from MSU. I taught classes ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus at Florence-Carlton High School for the past 13 years.

When I’m not teaching I like hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking and coaching boxing. I first started boxing when I was 10 yrs old. After 12 years of competition, my amateur boxing career ended abruptly due to a work related injury while roofing. After my accident, I started college. Luckily, I have had many amazing math teachers and outstanding coaches in my past who helped me decide to keep the option of going to college open, whether I had originally planned to or not.

I began my journey in the art and science of boxing, which led me to the art and science of mathematics and education. I am now happy to bring all of my experience and education to Big Sky High School. I look forward to getting to know my students, colleagues, administrators, and the wonderful community I have found at Big Sky High School.
