My career with MCPS began when I was a student-teacher at Lowell elementary. I began teaching as a teacher-librarian at C.S. Porter in 2008, and then made the move to a joint position between Big Sky and Willard the following year. Being a teacher-librarian has given me the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and work with students in a multitude of subjects, as well as work with technology. I have a passion for learning and after receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphases in Information Systems and Management, I decided to pursue my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a certification in Elementary Education, and endorsements in Library Media and Reading. During my career at The University of Montana I was actively involved playing trumpet and being the Drum Major for the Grizzly Marching Band. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, playing trumpet in the City Band, hiking, doing OULA, traveling, reading, and cross stitching.
