  • The College Fair - Big Sky juniors and seniors are invited to attend the College Fair at the University of Montana on September 24th  during 6th period. This is an optional field trip for students who want to explore post-secondary options and get information from colleges, the military, Job Corp and other agencies. It is an unstructured setting where students are able to meet and greet institution representatives. For more information about registration and the event visit https://www.montanacolleges.com/ .
  • The PSAT is coming soon! The Preliminary SAT is a test that Juniors can choose to take on Wednesday October 16th. The PSAT can help students practice for the SAT. They will get a detailed report that instructs them on how to improve their score on the SAT based off their performance. Students who take the PSAT can opt-in to the College Board’s free Student Search Service. This service allows colleges to identify students based on several factors including GPA, state residency, and intended major. Finally, the PSAT is the opportunity to earn free money for college. Juniors who take the test during their junior year may be selected to participate in one of the scholarships and/or recognition programs directly linked to the exam.
  • The free ACT for Juniors will be taking place March 24th. College bound students should also begin preparing for this exam. More study resources are listed on the counseling department website.
  • U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship Program (USSYP) is accepting application. Visit the Office of Public Instruction State of Montana Website for more information.
  • Check our website! In case you have not seen it, the counseling center has a website. This wonderful resource is available to both students and parents to find information on everything counseling related.
