• January 12-14:  All-State Jazz rehearsals and concerts in Helena.

Individual practice:   Each student has the All-State études to begin working on.  We will test these études in March.  Students are expected to begin working on them as well as their classroom music at home.  AND students should be practicing an average of one hour per week either at school in a practice or at home--but you already knew that :)

Finals next week:  Attendance is required at your band classes (as always!).  We will rehearse and check up on our festival music, and our All State études.  Each class will be worth 25 points.  Here is the schedule:

• Monday: no school
• Tuesday: Normal Day
• Wednesday: Normal Block Day with Jazz Bands, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ens
• Thursday: Normal Block Day with Jazz Bands, Symphonic Band, Concert Band
• Friday: No Jazz bands before school (canceled)

Office Hours for weekly sectionals and practice! We have a tradition of getting together every week or so with your section buddies to practice and improve. But it's on you and your classmates to make it happen. It's the Hellgate way to be accountable and put in our best efforts -- we're in this together!
