Important influenza information
We have had a slow start of "flu" season here in Montana. The Centers for Disease Control are still warning of a potentially significant flu season this winter. Handwashing and staying home when ill with influenza type symptoms are important preventative measures. Please visit the Student Health Webpage to learn more about flu prevention and symptoms. If you are interested in getting a flu vaccine, it’s not too late. Visit the Missoula City County Health Department, your doctor or a pharmacy in the community to get your flu shot.

M.A.D. Mondays (Make A Difference Monday):
We are starting a program, “Make A Difference Monday”, to supplement our food pantry at Hellgate High School. On Mondays, we are asking families who have the ability, to pick up just one extra non-perishable item during their weekly grocery shopping trips to donate to our supplemental pantry on M.A.D. Mondays. Your kids can drop off the items at the front office on their way in to school and help to restock the shelves which provide to so many who are struggling.
Many kids are going without these days and we are hoping you can make a difference! One extra box of granola bars, one can of tuna fish, a can of soup, a stick of deodorant – just one item per week will make a difference in the life of a child who is in need.
Please help us by supporting M.A.D. Mondays and together, we can truly make a difference. Thank you so much for your support!
If you have any questions, please contact Tracy Ledyard at extension 6062
