Overview
E-learning is important at Hellgate. Our goal is to make sure all students have the technology they need to succeed in any class, remotely and in-person. In order to make this happen, students are expected to bring a charged device for e-learning to every class every day.
All students have an MCPS account on the school network which gives them free access to Hellgate Library resources including books, databases, newspapers, and special collections. In addition, students have access to MCPS Clever, Infinite Campus, Mathia, Google Suite and school Gmail.
Students can either bring their own device (BYOD) or check out a chromebook and power adapter from the Hellgate Library. Come to the library for troubleshooting should problems arise.

Student Technology Fee
A $20 Chromebook rental fee is assessed to borrow a school Chromebook for four years with a maximum of $60 per family. This fee may be waived if the student qualifies for the Free and Reduced lunch program.
A replacement power adapter costs an additional $20.
This fee is necessary to offset losses and to sustain a 1:1 Chromebook checkout program.

Acceptable Use Policy (MCPS)
ACCEPTABLE USE OF TECHNOLOGY AGREEMENT Internet access and interconnected computer systems are available to the District’s students. Electronic networks, including the Internet, are essential to the District’s instructional program for promoting educational excellence by facilitating resource sharing, innovation, and communication. Missoula County Public Schools District #1 believes that all students should have access to technology when they act in a responsible, efficient, courteous and legal manner. Any student using school technology must have a signed Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement on file. Temporary access may be granted each student at the time of enrollment; however, each student and his/her parent(s)/legal guardian(s) will be required to sign and return an Agreement within 5 school days to assure continued access to the District’s computer system and/or Internet Service.
Parents/Guardians: Please print, sign and return an AUP to the School Secretary each year.
