• HELLGATE HIGH SCHOOL PILOT ATTENDANCE PROGRAM FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR. 

    Parents/Guardians no longer need to call or email to excuse absences unless they are for 3 or more consecutive school days and/or for medical reasons. The focus this school year at Hellgate is on missed work. An intervention may be used to assist students that have missing work.

    If your student is absent you will be notified by automated message. The automated system will send out notices of absences at 6:00 pm.  On Infinite Campus, most absences will show as an absence, not excused or unexcused. The exception being school-related absences. Please use the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus to check on your students' attendance.

     

    * Disregard the following sentence on the 6:00 automated notification.

     “When your student has an absence, we encourage you to call the attendance secretary of Hellgate High School at 406-728-XXXX to excuse the absence.” 

     

    * When you know in advance of a planned multiple-day absence, there are pre-arranged absence forms available in the attendance office and the main office. These     need to be completed before the absence.

     

    * If a student is marked as absent for a single period by mistake, it is up to that student to request a correction from their teacher. The teacher will then make a request   for me to update.
