Welcome to Key Club!
-
Key Club was founded in 1925 and now is the oldest international, student-led organization in the nation. Hellgate High School's involvement goes back at least to 1965.
Despite its odd name, Key Club is a service-based group and our goal is to reach out to the community through volunteering, with a specific emphasis on improving the lives of children in Missoula.
Key Club finds many community service projects to work on every year. Examples include: Assisting Paxson School with its many events for elementary school students, helping community nonprofits with their events and fundraising, such as ushering concerts for the Missoula Symphony, and organizing an annual blood drive to promote the health of everyone in the community. We have Adopted-A-Highway and carry out annual clean-ups as shown in the picture. And we are open to many other ideas for projects to address needs in Missoula, either together as a club or service projects you do on your own.
Our service projects may also go beyond the local community to benefit national projects such as the March of Dimes, or even to Key Club international projects such as Eliminate (in cooperation with UNICEF) which has the goal of eradicating maternal and neonatal tetanus.
We meet on alternate Thursdays at lunch in my room #238. Advisor is Mrs. Young.
Please check us out to see if we can help with your desire to be of service!
