Coach Ben Ranieri is in his first season as head coach of the Hellgate Baseball program. This is his sixth year coaching, including one year in Oregon and one in Idaho. A native of Boise, Idaho, Coach Ranieri played four years of college baseball at Linfield University in Oregon.
Aside from coaching, Ben is a sports fan, specifically of the Seattle Mariners, Green Bay Packers, and Boise State Broncos. He used to write for Sports Illustrated covering the Seattle Mariners, and now owns and operates his own site covering the team. Outside of baseball, his hobbies are walking with his Golden Retriever, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
