Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  My name is Shunteal Jessop, and I am teaching your student’s math class.  I started teaching in 2017 at Corvallis High School.  This is my fifth year at Big Sky High School.   I am so excited to join your student’s team of teachers!

A Little About Me

I grew up in Corvallis, Montana.  After high school, I moved to Missoula to complete my BA in Mathematics Education.  Since then, I have been teaching for eight years and completed my MA in Teaching School Mathematics at the University of Montana.

Previously, I taught at Corvallis High School.  While teaching there, I taught a wide range of math courses from pre-algebra to pre-calculus.  I also helped with support classes for students who were struggling with mathematics.  Since teaching at Big Sky High School, I have also taught courses ranging from pre-algebra to calculus.

I love incorporating activities into the classroom, and I am thrilled to learn about other tools to help make learning more engaging!

Outside of school, I am able to enjoy time with my little family.  My husband and I have been given the extraordinary opportunity of raising two little boys!  My oldest son is about to turn eight and my youngest is five.
