Mr. Parke grew up in Dillon, MT where he graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 2010. After graduation, Mr. Parke enrolled at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, OR where he found the desire to teach high school mathematics only one quarter into his first year. After majoring in Mathematics Education and playing on the football team at EOU, Mr. Parke suffered a broken ankle during practice and found the opportunity to transfer closer to home and attend the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. There, he earned a 4 year degree in Bachelors of Arts & Sciences in Mathematics with a focus in Secondary Education and graduated in May of 2015. He married Kelsey Parke on July 25, 2015 and they both currently reside in Missoula along with their cat, Charlotte. Kelsey also graduated from the University of Montana and is now a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Missoula. Mr. Parke began his teaching career at Arlee High School in August of 2015 where he taught all math classes ranging from Prealgebra to Precalculus. In the Summer of 2022, Mr. Parke received a masters degree in Teaching School Mathematics from the U of M. In his free time, Mr. Parke enjoys playing pickleball and riding his bike around Missoula. During the winter, you will see Mr. Parke officiating high school wrestling matches. He has officiated 3 state tournaments, and counting. The 2024-2025 school year will be Mr. Parke's fifth year at Big Sky High School.
