Competitive Event Topics
Updates available, but will be made official as of Sept. 1, 2018, http://www.hosa.org/sites/default/files/CE%20Preview2019.pptx
Fun to check topics for Debate, Researched Persuasive, Medical Reading, etc. Get your members pumped for competition.
If you are unfamiliar with Competitive Events (those events at which students compete at State Leadership Conference (SLC)), follow the steps listed below:
1. Help your student try and determine which event might be right for him/her, http://www.hosa.org/sites/default/files/What%27sRightForYou2018-2019.pdf
2. Look through the list of competitive events, listed in blue, http://www.hosa.org/guidelines
3. Click on one that might interest your student to see instructions and rules (aka, “Guidelines”)
Note: Montana HOSA does online exams PRIOR to SLC.
There is no physical competition for Health Science Events; “KT” stands for Knowledge Test.
