I had a long and difficult journey to arrive here at Hellgate, teaching freshmen Earth Science and IB Biology. To start with I was mistakenly born in the non-mountainous state of Connecticut. It took me 18 years to gather my things together and travel to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I earn an undergraduate degree in Biology. Then I left Boulder with only a twelve hour leg of the journey remaining, but I was waylaid in Jackson, Wyoming, where I substitute taught and skied for a few years until I was able to make the final push to Missoula. Arriving in 2007, and beginning graduate school in 2010 where I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and simultaneously my teaching certificate in Broadfield Science.
