We are excited to continue our tradition of our all-school fun run. This year, we are partnering with Porter Parent Council and Boosterthon, and making it a fundraiser. We hope to use these funds to support grade-level field trips, and student achievement celebrations, and to assist grade-level teams with purchasing flexibility for curriculum projects. Students are eligible to earn prizes for gathering donations (please don’t donate “per lap”, as there’s only one lap:) leading up to race day. Caregivers were sent an email for registration info, and students received a registration bar code a couple of days later. Please email Mr. Solberg at tasolberg@mcpsmt.org if you need registration information again.
The Color Run will take place on Thursday, May 30 from 12:45-2:00. It will be a 3k (1.87 miles) giving us plenty of time to finish before dismissal. We may even have a fire truck to spray kids (if they volunteer) and clean the color off:) Students will have snacks upon completion, and be able to play outside.
