- FREE DROP IN AFTER SCHOOL STUDY CLUB
What is Kids Study Club?
In response to COVID-19, NMCDC is launching Kids Study Club – a free neighborhood tech hub and open meal site for youth in 3rd grade through high school!
Kids Study Club is a “drop-in” hub in the Westside for youth to use a laptop for schoolwork, get a free snack and meal, and hang (at a distance) near other young people and caring adult mentors. And if a young person just wants to hang out and draw or read – that’s okay, too!
Through this program, we strive to increase access to technology, healthy food, and positive adult supervision for kids who need it most during this pandemic – all while being as safe as possible!
When and Where is Kids Study Club?
Monday – Thursday from 3-6 PM beginning Monday, October 26th, 2020 until at least December 30th, 2020.
Burns Street Center, 1500 Burns St, Missoula, MT 59802.
How does the “drop-in” structure work?
Kids Study Club, like our summer program, is a free “drop-in” program, meaning that participants do not need to come every day – but are certainly welcome to – and do not need to stay for the whole 3 hours! Youth can come and leave whenever is best for them or their guardians, as long as staff are notified of how young people will be getting home. (Our detailed check-in/check-out policies and agreements are in the registration form.)
How do I sign up?
To participate, simply bring the young person(s) to Kids Study Club, fill out a registration form on the spot, and you’re good to go! If you’d like to print and complete the form in advance, you can download it here.
We recently started a virtual tutoring service, Connecting Concepts Tutoring, which helps connect students in need of academic support with qualified tutors in a wide range of K-12 subjects and with SAT/ACT preparation. Our prices are affordable and we selectively, hand-match all of our tutors with students. We are a family-owned company who treats our tutors, oncoming students, and their families as our own.

After School Club: Available to all students on days they are in school. Every day after school until 6PM, BGCM offers a safe, positive environment with positive role models, supportive relationships, and a diverse set of opportunities. Our goal is to offer parents a sense of relief, knowing that their kids are safe and taken care of in the time between school release and the end of the workday. Members receive a free, healthy meal every day at the Club. C.S. Porter Middle School students would attend Club at our Mid Missoula Site, located in our main building at 1515 Fairview Avenue.Full Day Club: Due to Covid-19, our club has expanded its Full Day Club that allows club members with a supervised space to spend their days that their school is not in session. With many schools turning to hybrid methods during the pandemic, our goal is to offer parents an option for childcare throughout the workday. Any youth in Missoula County can attend our full-day clubs. Full day clubs run from 7:30AM - 6PM at our Mid Missoula Site , 1515 Fairview Avenue. Members are provided with breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.FOOD AND NUTRITION
