At CS Porter we believe that a positive school climate can significantly impact students, parents, and faculty. We are pleased to be recognized as a 2015 MBI Exemplar School, one of only four in the state to earn Platinum Status!
What is MBI?
The Montana Behavioral Initiative (MBI) is a proactive approach in creating behavioral supports and a social culture that establishes social, emotional, and academic success for all students MBI is an organized, data-driven system of interventions, strategies, and supports that positively impact school-wide and individualized behavior planning (OPI website).
CS Porter staff teaches all students academics and social behavior skills which creates a predictable and positive learning enviornment for everyone. All Staff must teach, practice and acknowledge students who are following the school-wide expectations (Respectful, Responsible and Safe). School-wide expectations are located in the common areas and teachers post their classroom expectations in their class to help remind students of CS Porter's expectations.
