Welcome to my website!  This is my 17th year teaching at Sentinel High School, and I'm looking forward to a great 2022-23 year.  I have two sections of English 4, one of AP English 4, one of dual credit English 4/ Understanding Film and Media, and one of English 3.  My background primarily stems from philosophy, English, film, women's studies, and wilderness recreation.  I have Master's degrees in Philosophy/Ethics and Recreation Management, Bachelor's degrees in English and Philosophy, and minors in Women's Studies and Film Studies.  In class, we often use a philosophical lens when examining literature and film, as at the core of many great texts is an ethical issue.  Prior to teaching English, I was a backcountry instructor for almost 10 years.  When I'm not at Sentinel, I can be found running, snow and water skiing, and hanging out with my two awesome daughters and one awesome husband.

I use Google Classroom to convey most information, collect assignments, and post videos.  All students should join thier appropriate Classroom and use the codes given in class.
