Ms. Annie Schick

Welcome Students (and Parents),

This is my twenty-second year in education. Before coming to MCPS, I taught grades 9-12 in Anchorage, Alaska. After moving to Missoula in 2011, I spent three years at Lewis & Clark Elementary, as both the Families in Transition Coordinator and the director of the Family Resource Center. I have also been a private tutor for students in gifted education/ACT preparation and am proud to work as a new-teacher mentor for MCPS.

My true joy is being in the classroom, however, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have spent the last eight years teaching 9th,10th, and 11th grade English at Sentinel High School as well as English IV, AP Literature and Composition, and Creative Writing at Missoula Online Academy. This year, I am teaching 9th and 12th grade English. You can find my lovely classroom in the 500 building, near the bus loop behind the main building.

I have an amazing husband and two awesome kids, both of whom attend Sentinel. I have three goofy dogs and a graceful cat about whom you'll certainly hear stories. Aside from teaching English, I like to spend my free time hiking, rafting, skiing, doing yoga or weightlifting, traveling wherever possible, and, of course, immersing myself in a good story!

You can expect me to choose kindness, effort, and relevance in learning - each and every day.
