Have a positive attitude: "keep your bucket full".
"When you are a bucket filler, you make your home, your school and your neighborhood better places to be" (Carol McCloud). Embrace high school. YOUR future is up to YOU! Explore the strengths you have inside. YOUR hard work and dedication can lead to four successful years...and beyond. YOU are in control of your future! Do your best and enjoy what Sentinel High has to offer. Get involved and make a difference at Sentinel and beyond.
-
Get to know your teachers.
Teachers are here because they love working with you! Five minutes with a teacher can make all the difference in understanding a concept. Take time before or after class to ask for some extra help. Plus the two of you get to know each other even better :)!

Attendance is vital to success in school.
Being in class and being on time helps to make school more enjoyable. Come prepared to learn and to use your brain. You may discover hidden talents within yourself.
-
Turn in all of your homework.
Turn in every single assignment, every day. There is no excuse for a zero. The real world does not like excuses. Do your best. A half completed assignment is better to turn in than nothing at all. Zeroes add up quickly and destroy your grades. Turn in all of your work.

If you don't have anything nice to say.....keep it to yourself.
High School is a challenging time for everyone. Please be a positive role model in the classroom, in the hallway and on social media. Make a positive impact in this world.

Balance and Moderation.
Life can be very busy and stressful. Take time for yourself. Do something YOU enjoy. Take care of yourself by getting the proper sleep, nutrition and exercise. Take classes that challenge you but not overwhelm you.
