Sentinel Soccer is a player-centered program that looks to engage and grow with the young people who've earned a spot on the team.
Each day we will seek to grow as individuals and as a group. When we are on the field, it's improving our abilities at soccer. When we're not (which is most of the time), we will look to grow as people, learning about ourselves, the people, and the world around us.
We can use all types of experiences soccer provides (winning, sweating, losing, scoring, injuries, etc.) to develop in us a gritty resilience. This resilience will allow us to better navigate life inside and outside of the game.
Soccer provides an incredible opportunity for people of all ages to play! We get to engage in the world's favorite game and will keep the intrinsic joy of playing at the forefront of our experience. This comes with the fact that the game sometimes requires us to sprint head-down 40 yards back to our own goal when we're already gassed in the last minutes of the game. We will look to share what's best about soccer with the Missoula community through how we play the game, learning from success and setbacks, and most importantly, how we interact with each other.
