All About Me:
I'm one of those lucky people who get to say, "I love what I do!" and really mean it! :)
It's a rare day you won't find me in my classroom smiling, laughing, or giving it my passionate-all (and the rare "off" day is due to the occasional migraine or lack of coffee!). I have the ultimate pleasure and honor of teaching middle schoolers and I truly love my job; I'd like to think it shows! I have been a teacher in Missoula for over 16 years and I have been at Washington Middle School as an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher and Social Studies teacher for 14 years. Time really does fly when you're having fun!!
My other big passion in life, of course, is my wonderful and kind family: my husband, Ryan, and our sweet and gentle son, Cal, who will be a fourth grader at Lewis and Clark Elementary this year. And I can't forget our energetic cockapoo, Ozzie, and Maine Coon kitty, Num Num! Together we love spending time in the outdoors hiking, camping, downhill skiing, riding our bikes, running, and jumping on our trampoline! I also love to read and get lost in a good book for hours--even better when curled up with a pet!
As a teacher, it's important for me to always be kind, empathetic, very structured and consistent, communicative, and organized.
