I am thrilled to be in my ninth year here at Washington, my neighborhood Middle School. I have been working with young people for over 25 years (yikes!) including 16 years teaching Middle School in Montana, and I love it!
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Engineering at the University of Washington in 1999. Early in my engineering career, I discovered my love for working with young people. After working with children and teens in a variety of camps, churches, and activity programs, I went back to school and earned my Master of Arts in Education degree at Pacific Lutheran University in 2006. We moved to Montana a few days after graduation.
My family and I have enjoyed living in Missoula for the past decade. I especially like to hike, camp, and explore with my wife, Courtney, our two wonderful boys, and our sweet dog.
