Hello! My name is Lissa Olinger and this is my 15th year teaching middle school and my 7th year at WMS. Teaching sixth grade is the best job and I'm fortunate to be part of an amazing team. I earned my BA in Elementary Education (2006), my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (2017) and my library media endorsement from the University of Montana. My husband, Dale Olinger, and I have 2 wonderful children--Emma (11) and Jack (8)-- and a spunky chocolate lab, Jazz (13). We are so lucky to live and work in this beautiful state and you'll often find me hiking, fishing and floating the river. I love to travel and spent a summer teaching English in Chile in 2009. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I look forward to traveling and seeing the world with my two children as they grow older. I'm an avid reader, mostly of young adult and children's fiction, and I am always looking for new titles to read. My favorite book is The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. I look forward to a great year of adventures with this group of students.
