Universal Design for Learning

  •       Universal design for learning is a scientifically valid framework for guiding educational planning, lesson preparation, learner experience and practice that provides flexibility in the ways information is presented, in the ways students respond or demonstrate knowledge and skills, and in the ways students are engaged. It also reduces barriers in instruction and maintains high achievement expectations for all students, including students identified as gifted and talented, those with specific learning challenges and students who are limited in their English proficiency. In this framework, educators transform instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
