    Missoula County Public Schools’ Health Enhancement Middle School curriculum is designed to be comprehensive and sequential, focusing on fostering health literacy and promoting lifelong physical activity. It equips students with essential knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about personal and family health. The curriculum aims to help students understand the role of physical activity in reducing health risks and leading a healthier, happier life.

    **Health Education Standards for Seventh Grade:**
    1. Understand health promotion and disease prevention.
    2. Analyze the impact of various factors (family, peers, media, etc.) on health behaviors.
    3. Access valid health information and resources.
    4. Use interpersonal skills to improve health and reduce risks.
    5. Apply decision-making skills to enhance health.
    6. Set and achieve health-related goals.
    7. Practice health-enhancing behaviors.
    8. Advocate for personal, family, and community health.

    **Physical Education Standards for Seventh Grade:**
    1. Show proficiency in various motor skills and movement patterns.
    2. Apply knowledge of movement concepts to performance.
