I love working with middle school students and am constantly seeking ways of promoting student engagement and achievement in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I am also committed to arts integration and celebrating creativity.
I was born and raised in Deep River, Connecticut, and graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. I earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University and a Master's degree in Special Education through the University of Montana.
I taught middle and high school English language arts and drama in Colorado and Vermont before moving to Lewistown, Montana, where I taught English for seven years. Our family moved to Missoula in 2012, and I have been teaching at Meadow Hill ever since.
It is my privilege to be a part of the team of educators at Meadow Hill Middle School.
