This is my 17th year teaching and my 6th year at Meadow Hill. I teach several Career and Technology Education courses:
6th Grade PLTW Computer Science for Innovators and Makers
7th Grade PLTW Design and Modeling
8th Grade App Creators
8th Grade PLTW Green Architecture.
In 2006, I graduated from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Environmental Studies and was a member of the Women's Basketball team.
Prior to Meadow Hill, I taught in the field of science in a variety of places around the world, including service in the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa and AmeriCorps at Lone Pine State Park in Kalispell, Montana focusing on conservation education. Also, my teaching experiences include people of all ages including adult and pre-school students but middle school students are my favorite to learn with!
In 2017, I received a Master of Education from the University of Montana in Curriculum and Instruction and did my student teaching at Washington Middle School.
Aside from teaching, I enjoy adventures that include backpacking, cross-country skiing, exploring new places and canoeing.
