• Trepak 

    Students practiced rhythm patterns with this fun play-along to Peter Tchaikovsky's Trepak from The Nutcracker ballet.  After a few times using body percussion, they transferred the rhythm to unpitched rhythm instruments.  At home, use 'found' instruments!

    Covid-19 Safety Chant 

    In addition to learning a chant about staying safe at school and home during a viral pandemic, students explored making creative shapes with their bodies at low, medium and high levels at the end of each refrain.

    Tongo is a Polynesian work song, done in echo style that was used while rowing to help everyone row in rhythm together and to pass the time.
