    Welcome to Rattlesnake Health Enhancement!  My name is Mrs. Lewis and this is my second year teaching HPE here at Rattlesnake.  For more info on me, please visit the 'Meet Mrs. Lewis' tab.

    I will be posting a Monthly HPE Update here on my webpage that will give you a window into what we are doing in HPE on a daily basis and what units of study we are currently focusing on.  The update will also come out with the News and Notes Newsletter at the end of the month.  I will include a Monthly Activity Calendar from SHAPE, our national organization for HPE, here on my webpage to encourage daily movement with your families.  And lastly, I have added a 'Helpful Resources' tab where you can find other tips and hints related to health and wellness.  Keep checking back for more additions!

    This summer I had the privilege of taking a graduate course with Dr. John Sommers-Flanagan of the University of Montana called Happiness for Educators.  I look forward to introducing students to what I have coined Happy Habits. These Happy Habits will be tips and strategies to improve our wellbeing, such as breathing methods, savoring, gratitude, growth mindset, goal setting, forest bathing, and a kindness campaign called Other People Matter.
