Hello all,

My name is Harmony Johnson. This will be my sixth year of teaching and my fifth year at Rattlesnake Elementary. In 2019, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in literacy. During my college career, I was a teaching assistant in a Montessori kindergarten classroom. Following graduation, I taught 4th grade in Lewiston, Idaho. This will be my fourth year teaching 5th grade.  I am so excited about meeting you all!

I am a huge advocate for hands-on learning, student-led exploration, and incorporating fun into my classroom. I hope that by making learning fun and engaging, students will claim independence and pride in their learning journey. I pride myself on strong communication -- we are all a team, and we can all work together to encourage and celebrate our young learners!

During my free time, I love to be outdoors. I enjoy backpacking, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, rafting, snowboarding, running, and spending time with my husband, Craig, and our pup Avery. When spending time indoors, I love to try out new recipes and to sit down with a good book. I am a good listener, and love to share my passions with others! I look forward to meeting you all this year!
