    Giving Thanks to our Staff

Teachers in Arts Education are so busy this time of year K-12.  They might be rehearsing a choir for winter programs and caroling, filling school hallways with beautiful student artwork for parents to see during conferences and concerts, preparing bands and orchestras for winter concerts, prepping an art show at a local business, or many other important tasks to give our students a quality arts education.

Our teachers are the best and they have wonderful helpers.  We are grateful to our community partners.  Shadow Asphalt donated the use of their trucks, flatbeds and drivers to make our homecoming Fiddle float a success.  Missoula Rotary Club sponsored 62 children's instrument rental fees.  Amazing!   SPARK! Arts helps send every MCPS student in grades K-8 to a quality arts experience in the community.  So far this year, our second grade has attended Charlotte’s Web at Missoula Children’s Theater, our fifth graders have spent the morning at the Missoula Arts Museum & Library, and, our eighth grade enjoyed a memorable performance by Native American Artist Christian Parrish Takes the Gun aka “Supaman”.

Finally, we are so grateful to Missoula's parents/guardians and community members who support our schools and their student’s participation in the arts.  No concert or event would be possible without parents/guardians providing rides, appropriate attire, participation fees, encouragement, etc.  Thank you for all you do!

To find a seasonal concert near you, please check our music & arts Calendar.
