Welcome to Test Information

  • Include proper alternative text for images.  In addition, prior to uploading any images to the website - the images must be properly labeled from the source.  EXAMPLE:  Don't upload a photo that has been saved under 1234.jpg.  It must be labled appropriately such as RobWatson.jpg that conveys more meaning.

    Test Schedule (header example)

Screen readers can use heading structure to navigate content.  (Think in terms of an outline format.)  By using headings (<h1>, <h2>) correctly, the content can easily be interpreted by screen readers.

    List Examples:

Information, structure, and relationships conveyed through presentation can be programmitically determined or are available in test.

    • Morning Class 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
    • Health Class 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.

    Link Examples:

Use text that properly describes where the link will go.  Using "click here" is not considered descriptive and is not effective for screen readers.  Screen readers announce the presence of a link.
