Superintendent Candidate Selection

  • The MCPS Board of Trustees have selected Mr. Dale Olinger, Mr. Thom J. Peck, and Dr. Candace S Roush as finalists to interview for the Superintendent position.

    Interview activities will take place on Thursday,February 2nd on the Missoula County Public Schools' administration campus located at 909 South Ave. West.

  • MCPS parents, students, staff, and the Missoula community are all welcome to meet the three candidates on Thursday, February 2nd at 6 PM in Administration Building A located at 909 South Ave. West.



  • The MCPS Board of Trustees has selected McPherson & Jacobson to assist in the search for the new Superintendent.  The following search timeline was approved by the Board of Trustees:

      • Stakeholder Meetings
    • November 28, 2022
      • Community Forum in Seeley Lake, MT
      • Community Forum in Missoula, MT
    • December 13, 2022
      • Board Work Session, 5:30 p.m., Admin. Bldg. A, Boardroom
      • Consultants present stakeholder input. 
    • December 28 - January 10, 2023
      • Consultants complete reference checks and interviews.
    • January 24, 2023
      • Present candidates to the Board of Trustees.
    • February 2, 2023
      • Trustees interview candidates
    • February 7, 2023
      • Trustees announce selection
    • July 1, 2023
      • Start date for new Superintendent
