Friday September 17th
Posted by Amy Petrini on 9/17/2021 5:00:00 PM
Today we finished up our 13th day of the school year. We have been very busy working to build a safe, kind, and respectful environment for all learners while also spending some time reviewing some of what they learned in Kindergarten. You may find that your child is hungry and/or tired when they get home. Unfortunately we do not have snacks in the classroom, but they do have the opportunity to choose breakfast items in the morning free of charge. The first grade school day can be quite rigorous and we will continually be working on building stamina and attentiveness for learning throughout the day.
Here are a few things to know and remember:
Green folders- I am just going to send these home on Fridays. One side will have completed work and the other side will include notes from the office. Please send your child's folder emptied out on Monday. There will be no homework for first graders at this time.
Library Books- Check out days are on Tuesdays. Your child will be able to check out a new book if they have returned their current book.
Messages- Please send any messages such as a change in your child's pick- up plan via e-mail or with a call to the office if it is after noon.
Field Trip- We have a field trip scheduled to the PEAS Farm on Thursday September 30th. We will leave the school around 9:45 and should be back around 11:30. Please let me know if you would like to join us.
