EmPower Pack Program

  • In partnership with the Missoula Food Bank, Hawthorne is able to provide this program for it's community. The EmPower Pack is a weekend nutrition program aimed at helping kids stay healthy & nourished when school is not in session. Kids in the program are identified by school officials who recognize behaviors & circumstances of children living in chronic hunger at home.

EmPower bags are sent home on Fridays and contain 2 breakfasts, 2 pieces of fruit, 2 servings of milk, and 2 individual entres. At Hawthorne we have an anonymous Mighty Hawk donor who provides each student with an additional snack and drink.

Enrollment is managed in the FRC. Contact Miss Lily at 406-728-2400 x4271 for questions on how to enroll your student.

My student was misidentified

  • All students are provided with an opt-out letter when they recieve their first bag, in the chance the need has been misidentified. This must be filled out and signed by the student's registered gaurdian, then handed into Miss Lily in the FRC.

This service is meant to provide a positive impact in our community and to be a step toward a solution for overcoming challenges experienced when growing up in poverty. Enrollment in the program comes with no-judgement and is stemmed by our ability to help our community in this way. Bags are delived in a discreet and confidential manner.

  • There are no upcoming events to display.
