  • Information Regarding Coronavirus

    In accordance with Governor Bullock’s updated set of directives and guidance, Missoula County Public Schools will remain closed through Friday, April 10, 2020.

    All previous closures of MCPS campuses PreK-12, sports practices and driver’s education programs, and all Life Long Learning Center services will be extended until Friday, April 10, 2020.

    In addition, the Governor also issued a directive limiting nonessential social and recreational gatherings of over 10 people outside of a home if a distance of over 6 feet cannot be maintained. Thank you for doing your part to ensure we maintain appropriate physical distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19.

    Hello Hawthorne Families!!

    Please show this announcement to all Hawthorne Students. Weekly Announcements

    Welcome back from Spring Break. as you know, schools are closed, but at home learning activities are ready to be accessed by all students in kindergarten through grade 5. Visit www.mcpsmt.org/covid-19 and click the REMOTE LEARNING button. Some of you will pick up devices or personal items on Monday, March 23 per the MCPS announcement last week. When you are proud of your child’s accomplishments during at home learning, you may choose to fill out a High Flyer using the form here High Flyer Form . You probably know I draw for High Flyer winners each week.

    As long as school is out, breakfast and Lunch will be delivered via school buses and are free to all children under age 18. You can find delivery times by checking Infofinder routes . If you live in the Hawthorne walking boundary, meals can be picked up at 12:00 PM.

    We will continue to communicate regularly. Stay healthy!

  • ESSA State Report Cards

    The Office of Public Instruction released the 2017-18 school year report cards on Monday, April 22, 2019. The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires state, district, and school-level data to be displayed on report cards in a concise, understandable, and accessible manner for families and communities. The state, district, and local report cards will be available along with additional information on the OPI’s new report card webpage.  This data is already publicly available on the state’s GEMS Data warehouse. It is now being conveyed in an easier format for the public to understand.

    Grades K-1-2-3: 8:25-3:00
    Grades 4-5: 8:25-3:30
    Students are released 1 hour early on Thursdays to facilitate teacher meetings and planning time. All students MUST be accompanied by an adult if they are on school grounds before or after the designated school hours.
