Mission statement

This oak tree was planted over 100 years ago when the school opened.

    Our Mission
At Hawthorne School we believe every child will learn and succeed as a productive, confident member of our community.

    Our Vision
Students set goals, monitor their progress, share new learning in a variety of  ways, and apply learning to solve problems. All students can answer these questions: What am I learning? Why am I learning it? How will I know I have learned it?

Hawthorne Elementary School serves 380 students in early literacy through grade five.

Hawthorne Code of Conduct

  • The Hawthorne School Community takes pride in our positive learning environment.
    We have four school expectations:

    • Be Responsible
    • Be Respectful
    • Be Safe
    • Be Kind
