About me

  • I have been a school librarian for more than 30 years, but have also taught kindergarten and fourth grade. I love working with all the students in the building!

I hold a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early-Childhood Education, an endorsement in Library Science, and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts, all from the University of Montana. I am a proud Missoula native, and have raised two children of my own as well as assorted “strays” that have come into our lives.

I work hard to build a culture of literacy and a love for reading in our building.  In addition to more traditional instruction, I teach technology and information skills, and offer Makerspace activities to encourage creativity, innovation, and teamwork. The role of libraries has changed so much since I began my career!
