Mary Beth Jourdonnais is a kindergarten teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School. She holds a BS in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement from the University of Montana, Western. She also holds a Master's degree from the University of Montana in Integrated and Fine Arts in Education.
Mrs. Jourdonnais believes that Kindergarten is a place for encouraging physical, social, emotional, and academic skills that make kindergarten an exciting place to be every day. She values the importance of play through learning. In her classroom you will see dramatic/imaginary play, block building, dance and movement, and literacy play through poems, songs and nursery rhymes.
