I am so happy to join the Hawthorne staff this year in second grade! I have been a teacher for 26 years, with time spent teaching in grades 2-5. I joined the MCPS team two years ago after returning from teaching abroad in the UAE. I also taught for many years in Washington State. I have found kids bring me great joy regardless of the location! I believe in building a strong community in the classroom where kids feel safe and can have fun learning together.
