Mrs. Christina Stevens
I am so excited to be a part of the Jeannette Rankin community. My own children attended Cold Springs Elementary and it has always had a special spot in my heart.
I have been in Missoula County Public Schools for 27 years. I was a 7th grade teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal at Meadow Hill Middle School for my entire career. I am so excited to have a full year in our new beautiful building. I am so grateful for the change and to work with all of your children. Being in the elementary is so wonderful and being a part of this age of children has been so rewarding.
I am married and have two children. My children are Darian and Thomas and are now 23 and 20. I am an empty nester and really hate it. Each year I think it is going to get better but I still am not enjoying my children being gone. Enjoy every moment with your children as it goes by so fast.
The picture I posted is in South Korea. This was when my daughter competed in the Winter Olympics in Slopestyle. It was an unbeiiveable experience. Both of my kids are amazing skiers. My daughter lives in Park City, Utah and comes home about four times a year. I will go see her at Thanksgiving. She blew her knee last winter and just was cleared to ski again this month. She was able to travel to Switzerland to train. This summer my son moved back to Montana and gave up his dream of skiing moguls. He is attending Montana Tech in Butte. He is studying mechanical engineering and talking about joining the Marines. It is so nice to have him closer.
I am excited for the new year and am so happy to be here at Jeannette Rankin. I am looking forward to working with all my families. Please feel free to contact me by email at cmstevens@mcps.k12.mt.us or by phone at 728-2400 Ext. 4100 or by my cell phone at 406-544-4935. It is going to be a great year.
Your Principal,
Christina Stevens
