Welcome 1st Grade Families! 

 

I am beyond excited to be in my 10th year of teaching at Jeannette Rankin Elementary! Previous to taking this position, I enjoyed student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom as well as a practicum-teaching experience in a mixed 1st and 2nd grade class. I have also held positions as a teacher-facilitator for a middle school after-school program and preschool teacher.  Prior to teaching, I worked in Social Work and Project Management.  

 

 

Below is our classroom daily schedule:

 

8:15 - 10:00 ELA

10:00 - 10:15 Recess

10:15 - 11:00 ELA continued

11:00 - 11:45 Lunch then Recess

11:45 - 12:25 Math

12:25 - 1:10 Specials (PE, Art, Music, or Library)

(Thursdays specials: 12:20 - 1:05)

1:10 - 1:45 Math continued

2:00 - 2:15 Recess

2:15 - 3:10 SS/Sci/SEL

3:10 - 3:15 Pack Up / Dismissal at 3:15

(Thursdays dismissal at 2:30)
